Problem Of Malicious Apps Infects Android Sector
Android malware is proliferating as the number of Android users grows. On Wednesday Google pulled twenty one Android virus apps from the Android Sector, however not after up to 250,000 Android users might have downloaded them. Use of Android malware to get personal information
Before Android Law enforcement started to tell Google there was the Android virus, it was available for download in the Android Market for four days. Google easily pulled twenty one Android virus apps, but an estimated 50,000 to 250,000 Android users downloaded the malicious code. The apps were removed from Android devices from Google. Code can be downloaded by the Android virus though. It is likely that harmful code remains embedded in the affected devices. The Android has to be taken to a carrier and exchanged for a new one to make sure private data is secure.
Big virus for Android
Myournet was the hacker that the Android Law enforcement found creating the twenty one Android virus apps. There were taken copies of popular apps used to make these viruses. Myournet stole them to do this. The Android malware, or “root exploit” would steal personal information to give it to the hacker such as mobile photo ID and mobile provider after downloaded. The Android virus also opens a back door to download code that secretly repurposes the system. One of these called “Android Pjapps” had an analysis done to find out that “Steamy Windows” was the Android app hacked by Chinese hackers. The Trojan horse infected smartphones and sent invisible text messages to premium rate numbers that would reap commissions for the hackers.
Apple/Android protection
Google is beginning to have difficulties with the Android app open nature while Androids become more popular. Several criticize the Apple program that is so closed off. Because of it though, anything stays secure with Apple inspecting things before the App Store holds them. Few apps are checked by Google in the Android sector. If they do get checked, it will only take place every so often.
