Chess Flash Games
Y! Games Chess Keeps Displaying: “You have been disconnected. Click OK to Reconnect”?
In Y! Games, Chess is not working, but it but displays an error message after you click “Play Now”. The error message is “You have been disconnected. Click OK to Reconnect.” I have already allowed pop-up blocker for Yahoo.com, updated Adobe Flash Player & Java. Previous avid chess players also had same issues, but their solutions didn’t work for me. Please someone help!
I tried your suggestion with increasing virtual memory but didn’t work. I am using Firefox and rarely use IE, but also tried that suggestion on changing the settings on IE, which still didn’t work.
Anymore other ideas?
Increase your Virtual Memory!
Yahoo updated the games section. You now need a new updated game demo. If using IE7 Go to Tools,Internet Options,Browser history ,settings button,View objects. Right click and remove all yahoo games listed.When you go to play next time a new demo will pop up to download. OR if Tools method doesn’t work, remove them by going to Start,My PC, C drive,Windows folder, Downloaded games folder. delete games there.
The new chess uses a lot more virtual memory to run,so you may need to increase it if you get a connection error
You can increase your memory by going to start button, settings, control panel, system, advance tab, performance, advance tab, virtual memory, change it, make it 2000 kb or higher, In both boxes, click apply,ok. Vista users go here http://www.vista4beginners.com/configure
go tools,internet options, advance tab, make sure sun java is checked,also console,logging and jit compiler Foxfire only works with Sun java.
